Welcome to UrologyPracticeToday
ImageImageThis is a project that has been in the works for several years. It’s exciting to see an idea come to fruition. Our first goal in setting up the site, to provide urologists with valuable practice management data, was to attract a very highly qualified editorial board. We have accomplished the first goal. We are very fortunate to have such a highly qualified board.
Mike Naslund, Mark Painter, Larry Kemp, and Ray Painter, all bring varying expertise, backgrounds, and qualifications that will enhance the value of the information on UrologyPracticeToday.

We have one other very highly qualified urologist that will be joining the editorial board and will be announced in the near future.

Goal #1 has been accomplished. The goal of the editorial board is to provide you with valuable and practical information that will allow you to make good decisions in running your practice. In addition, we plan to provide you with the benchmarks or comparisons that will allow you to see how your practice stacks up with others. Did you ever have a question that you didn’t know who to ask, related to the decision in your practice; such as:
• How do I make sure my practice has and is safe from embezzlement?
• How much should I pay my Practice Manager?
• How do my E & M services compare to the national norm?
• What should I do about joining a group starting an IMRT? Is this the future for the practice of Urology and how should I prepare?

The board will now always know the answer, but we will certainly be willing to address the issue and provide you with the different options.

We hope you will make this your daily stop, as some of the highlighted news items should be of interest to you will change daily. The lead article will be changing weekly. Also, this is brought to you and made possible due to advertisement of the pharmaceuticals; but as you will see, there will be one banner ad every time you check in. We do not think this should be considered offensive, and you should say thank you to that particular sales rep when you see him in the office. We encourage your input, we ask for your suggestions; we want to make this your site. We would also like to encourage you to participate in the survey because we think the answers will be of value. There will be one survey questions per week, the final answers will be given the next week. When you answer the survey question you will be given instant feedback of all the answers for far. The issues will be discussed related to the survey. Our intent is to make sure the content short, precise and to the point so that you can do a quick read and make this the best two minutes of your practice day.

Thank you for joining,

Mark and Ray Painter
